Hope you get to go sailing before the job starts, you must tell me whether the feet smell worse in the hot weather! All ok here, kids fine dave fine, back at fat class, same old same old. Have loads of fun, do not fall off the boat or loose the camera as I am loving the piccys! LOL

Well, I have been in bed 3 days recoverying from Jen contactitis, dont know what is more shocking, that or me contemplatating playing hockey.
There are no computer cafes in Whyalla, infact not a lot of cafes, a couple of bars and lastnite I went out for Schnitnel with the girls from the unit.. it was breaded meat with a suce and its all the rage in Whyalla. Its a bit findus crispy pancake...Chicken or beef.. sarah, even you could decide..and then you get a sauce..Parmagama- cheese and tomato= beef parmy. mushroom=beef mushy.
Picked up lots of phrases---" ferril" as in ferril children brought up with animals, means scroat, little swine ect.. and "cruisi" means easy, no sweat/no worries/no drama. relatives become "reli" ect.. you know what I mean.
I am off for a medical today... Got the big knicker on, and really hope it goes well cause could last out a bit longer here, the digs are basic as hell, brick exposed walls , dark 75 watt bulb and everything is brown. apparnatly once ther was a brown party, and people dressed in brown and ate strictly brown food. So no white bread that night alison.
If you can ignore the iron industry and the pink/red dust on your clothes, the town is really beautiful.. I have always wanted to live by the sea and its just georgeous. As I arrived dolphins played inthe little harbour and the sky is always blue and the beach golden. Ok there are great white sharks.. and I got bitten by something last night, but in summer I reckon its as nice as being in Greece. Just dodgier food.
My colegues are lovely, there are only 3 podiatrists and 2 leave in july..:-/ they are very welcoming and took me out the first night for my tea.

I tried the old jennifer "baby doll" I dont know how to? expresion a couple of times and it seems to be working a treat, wearing thin possibly, so will have to save it for a real crisis, but thanks for that jen , very useful.
Hope I can book some little trip to Airlle beach tday, as long as medical alright, I am allowed to start work whenever I like.. "cruisi" Hope to pop in on Jamie and Laura and the managing director of Oz Jungle Cat branch ,marcello Barbero has
offered to show me round again too, so that might be a laugh..

Carrie, lovely to show you the nice parts of town and meet some of my strange "desperate house husband" friends. It's been a long time since I heard an accent like yours - left Manchester over 13 years ago. can't believe how close we live ! You have not ate any weird "Sh*t" yet, but I got to give it you, your a goer. especially that uncooked 100% raw korean burger with out the buns and salary. Hong Kong is manic sometimes, was out again last night after spending whole weekend recouping from my flu. Have a lovely time, I am sure you will, but warning, when the World Cup kicks off, its like 6am OZ time !

Wotcha!! Who is this familia Wong? One of them on the photos does indeed resemble Mr Wong of Grandma's eye operations but it can't be him! Sounds like you are having fun and I am sure lots more fun is around the corner. Was wondering if we will be seeing a message of the 'pointy' variety on here at all?!!! Hey Carrie! WOW! It looks fantastic! Glad you've got this far safely. If the podiatry doesn't go too well you could always try photography...that's a little skill you've kept hidden! I think the blurry photo's in st helens were a bluff! The thursday morning clinic gang are missing you terribly...it's just not as much fun without you!
