Today Florence was gorgeous with some puffy little clouds floating above the perfect little Renaissance Italian city where Leonardo and Michealnago once walked across the ancient bridge Ponte Vecchop. We visited the International school of Florence in the morning and saw our friends Anna and katherine and some new friends Annie has made. What a fantastic place to study. Everyone was so welcoming. The grounds were so pretty complete with a charming garden and outside caferteria with a see through sheet of plastic to cut the wind. Olives and fruit trees were abound, a way different scenery in comparsion to US schools. The kids were so nice and interesting coming. They come from many countries: England, Australia, italy, US, Asian countires etc.
After our visit, we went to pick up a few small gifts to take back to friends and family. We negotiated prices with the vendors in the markets. It was so fun! I dont really like shopping but I'll make an exception for Italy markets. There is lots of leather, glass, pocket books !!!, jewelery. Thinking of you all and you are always in our hearts. See you soon. We leave Sunday for Paris. Annie goes to another singing lesson tommorow. We are going to a local free Opera concert tommorrow night at Il Trillo. Love, Robin and Annie See our new photos today-- titled : more of Florence
