After a beautiful evening on HaiLong Bay which is dotted with more than 3000 islands and is a UNESCO World Heruitage site we continued to Danang abnd then onto Hue. OIur first night in Hue we saw a traditional water puppet show. The puppets are controlled from behind a screen by people standing in the water and the are on the surface of the water. The dragons fight, the duck swim etc. Very entertaining even though you can't understand the language.
Hue was an ancient capital a also reflects the French colonial period and is a lovely city.
The highlight of our stay was a visit to a local orphanage where the Buddhist nuns care for about 200 children. We brought gifts to the children and observed their daily life. The older children help take care of the younger opnes. Several of the children have gone on to university and are now living independent lives.
I'm having trouble with my pictures so have to use the sites.
