Canterbury College Cantabile Choir, 2012 USA Tour
Well the girls mesmorised and entertained us again as they joined in with approx 250 students from different choirs around America at the Windy City Choir festivals. The repertoire was so varied and the concert was a culmination of 5 days incredibly hard work by everyone. Alanah Bebendorf and Chelsea Currie did wonderful solos singing 'Georgia' - Fantastic girls. Tonight the girls and supporters all get to relax, get dressed up and enjoy a celebration dinner and dance party with all of the other choirs in the heart of Chicago. They certainly are looking forward to it and definatey deserve it. I am sure there will be many of them overtaking the dance floor again. Well done everyone.

Janet Munro Sharon -- two blogs in one day -- fabulous! I'm grateful that you are doing this; like other parents, we are missing Tori. Can you please tell us about the photo that resembles a combined choir? I recognize the Cantabile shirts...but seems like there are others in the same choir....? Thanks much.
Sharon Steiner Hi Janet and families. The girls have been involved during their whole stay in the "Windy City Choir Festival". This meant during their whole time in Chicago they have been rehearsing for hours and involved in all day workshops with 12 other choirs from all over the US. The conductor who worked with all of the choirs together each day enabled the final production of a one hour concert at Chicago's concert hall where all of the choirs sang a repertoire of approx 10 songs all together with selected soloists from the various choirs. It was a lot of hard work by the girls however definately a wonderful concert produced by all. As a finale for all of the students the festival ended with a dinner and dance party which they all enjoyed last night. The girls made many friends amongst the other choirs with many souveniers exchanged. The next blog shortly will have a few highlights of the evening last night.
