I'm now actually in Koh Phi Phi but i spent a day in Railay and a day getting there!! i think all together i travelled on a truck taxi, a night boat, 2 tuk tuks, 2 mini bus's and a longtail boat just to get to Railay (just acros the water form krabi)! The night boat was my favourite bit and one of the best nights sleep ive had since ive been away which was much needed. The best moment for me was when a woman bought her cat on the boat in a case, the cat was called discotech!!! discotech!! what a name
Railay was beautiful and secluded! Very basic accomodation, 200bhat a night, lots and lots of creepy crawlies!! ahhhhh! saw THE buggest spider in the concrete toilet block, at like 1am eeerrrrrr
I had a bit of trouble when i got to Railay, i had no money and there is no cashpoint on the beach i was on, so i had to get to the other beach , sounds simple eh? I literally had to rock climb/scramble/navigate and rope climb to get over to the other side.
by time i got to my beach it was 5ish so i went and packed up my new backpack :D which i bought after deciding i wasnt going to lugg that case in waist deep water ever again! I had some good thai noodles and watermelon shake to replenish then went to a beach party where i met some people from Finland. I was so tired from my day of transport and climbing adventure in 35degrees i had a bti of an early night and one of the worst nights sleep ever, so hot, so loud (the party went on until 4am) and actually a little bit paranoid that a tarantula was going to fall on my head or something.
I wish i had a few days to relaly relax in railay and enjoy swimming in the sea under the limestone cliffs but i wasnt even there 24 hours, so if u go to railay give yourself some time to experience it properly
I left on a longtail at 9am yesterday morning to head to Koh Phi Phi...
