Well what an adventurous day we had. I got up in the morning and went for a long walk through the country side. Everything is green and fresh and there are lots of colourful flowers everywhere. There is also alot of natural waterfalls. We are staying in a valley so they are all around us. After my walk I went back to our hostel and had breakfast with Jenna, she wakes up early too! We had to leave for canyoning at 8:45am so we all showered and got ready for the day. A mini bus picked the 7 of us up from out the front of our hostel and took us into town where we met Carly and her boyfriend Mark. We got suited up in our cosi, wetsuit, wetsuit jacket, wetsuit shoes, a life jacket, a harness and a helmet. Each helmet had a sticker on the front with a different name so the instructors could identify us easily. I was 'Playboy', Jenna was 'Precious' which suited her because she is tiny. One of the boys, Buck was 'The Hoff' and the biggest guy in our group was 'The Tank' it was funny and we were all laughing at each others names. We got back on the mini bus and they took us up the mountain, we got out and then walked for 5 minutes to the river. The water was freezing and whenever we stopped we all held our hands above the water because it was so cold. Everyone was weeing in their wetsuits to keep warm. We went down natural rock slides, did cliff jumps, swam through waterfalls, did front flips off rocks, absailed and all got a group shot infront of the last waterfall. It was awesome and we all enjoyed our day. At the end we had to climb up what we had just come down, but next to the river. It was steep and we had to use a rope and foot holes to get up. We jumped back on the mini bus and headed back down into town to get undressed and showered. Four out of the nine of us decided to go helidiving (sky diving out of a helicopter) I was considering doing this too but it was way too expensive. The 5 of us that were left went back to our hostel and had lunch at the local pub just down the road and then we walked to the waterfalls. We bought a ticket at the bottom and then caught a cable car half way up. It was freezing inside the mountain as all the mountains here have snow on the top. We got off half way and then walked to the top. The waterfall was running through the cave. It was pretty amazing to see, it was so loud and powerful. They had viewing points all the way back down to the bottom we stopped at each one. At the last viewing point at the bottom we saw a rainbow which also showed up in our pictures. We then walked back to our hostel and got ready to head into town for dinner. We caught the train and met Carly and Mark again and we all went to Hooters for dinner. After dinner we headed back home for an early night. I have had so many laughs with this group already, it's good to be traveling with them again. We all had a great day. Photo is of one of the natural waterfalls that I saw on my morning walk.
