TOn the 15th, we drove from Bhatia De Los Angeles to Guerrero Negro. The drive was pretty. There was a lot to look at. I have learned a lot about the desert ecosystem so far on our drive to Cabo San Lucas.
We drove around Guerrero Negro for a while looking for a hotel. The town was a lot better and cleaner looking compared to what we have seen. We finally found a hotel; the hotel was by far my favorite so far on our trip.
After settling a little bit, we drove to a lagoon about half an hour away from Guerrero Negro. In this lagoon is where the whales go to have their babies and breed. In the Lahuna Ojo De Liebre is where the Mom teaches her babies all they need to know about how to survive.
Just outside of the Lagoon is a salt mine. The salt is what keep going almost the entire population of Guerrero Negro sustained . This is the largest evaporative salt production facility in the world. The operation produces close to six million tons of salt each year. There are thousands of evaporating ponds.

Nanny You are learning so much. Too bad you can't get credits for travelling. It really is the best education if you are actually asking questions and learning new things, not just drifting aimlessly. I read yesterday that donkeys are the new goats, in animal raising circles.
Hugh this is very interesting.
