Well...we are beginning a kitchen remodel project - removing a wall, replacing the applicances, adding better lighting. Shouldn't be a big deal... Right? We thought we would use this blog to keep everyone up on the progress four our forty day tour... Hmm, that sounds familiar.

We got up and it was pouring. We may have had the Yomiuri Giants-Yokohama Bay Stars baseball game cancelled, but we didn't want the same for our flight home. We jumped on the local train to Yokohama for the Narita Express (sounds like the polar express). It is a sweet way to travel and as you go, a map highlights the route completed. From the flight deck... Well row 42... We have just finished our first flick Skyfall. It is a shame this picture didn't get the attention it deserved! You see half way through the volume went off and all we had were Japanese subtitles. We were still able to follow it. "Bang, bang, bang...yes mum...boom" is a universal language. After the film, there was a mad dash to the water closets (if you know my drift) and what happened - turbulence. As 007 would say....
We are at the airport. Had a lovely exchange with TSA with shoes off. Good practice for Japan. Now sitting enjoying a cappuccino waiting for Wendy and Jen who are checking their bags now.
Kon ni chi wa! Today, we pack... Well, we have been progressively packing over the week and we have a pile of clothes to go through. But tonight, decisions have to be made and Shauna got the short straw. She is breaking the news to the dogs. Gulp. We leave tomorrow morning for the airport and a very, very, very long flight. We will be chugging lattes and crossing our fingers for peanuts as we head to the land of fish cake. Two words that I never thought ...
