Things have been pretty none stop ere, cos we live 10min rom the office we have to get dropped off and picked up everyday, can be a pain, cos sometimes you are just lying about bored. A few of us are heading to Mcleod Ganj (home of Dalai lama) this weekend to eat some meat and get away from the camp to chill a little more.
India is one ofthose places that you really have to accept, ie, how things are done here, if you really don't just get on with it, you would have a really ahrd time here. I shower with a bucket outside everyday and the toilets are not allowed to have toilet roll flushed down them, instead you put it in a bin next to the toilet. Very smelly and not at all hygenic! Most of us have had some kind of stomach upset, some worse than others. Mine usually wakes me up at 6am with pain, then usually have to go again after 45min, rest of the day I'm fine.
Wefound another HUGE spider in our room the other day, will psot pics soon. We had a cool adventure the other day, with five of us hanging out of a tuck tuck, he just about got up some of the hills.
Teaching has been really rewarding, we did animals yesterday and made crowns with diff pics on, again pcis to follow.
There is a cool river by our house, which is really cool to just sit by and listen to the himalayan water gush by. Monkeys are everywhere and just lie in the street. The valley we are in has some huge tea planatations, will take a few leaves and post them back, can;t get more organic than that!
We've had Hindi and Yoga lessons all week as well, which has helped relieve the stress of the long week.
We created a quiz night last nigth, which was a good laf. I was quiz master and was firm but fair. hahaha. I made a trophy for the winning team...something I think we might do everey week.
On the way back last night, I fell into a ditch, (bloody bus parked right next to it!) and badly bruised my left ribs. I'm pretty sure nothing is broke but gonna head to a private hosp to check it out. Even if they are fractured they can do nothing, so just wait for them to heal. I can take full breaths and stretch but just very sore and grazed.
Please don't worry, if it was bad I would of took myself the hosp last night.
I'm ok, just badly bruised. I got an X Ray (cost me 120 Indian rupees, which is one pound and twenty pence!!!!!!). Doc said just gotta take it easy... I have kept my xray and will post it back to display haha.
