Hi Al, glad to read and see you are having a great time in Thailand. At last the weather here is getting better, just as we set off for portugal. will find an internet cafe and catch up with your adventures there. Hope you have caught up on some sleep and mind your hed on the low beams ! Thinking of you all the time wondering what you are doing, lots of love dad, xx

Hey Alex! After reading your recent entries, my mental image of you has morphed into you and your teddy bear curled up on an elephant, which makes you one lucky duck.
We think when you left you took the key to the upstairs with you. Remember how you said that after you left we'd all just sit around and talk about you?
Yeah.
What else... remember the man I saw with all the bugs walking in and out of his head on the way to lunch on your last day? We found him dead on the street a few days ago.
Whether life goes on or not, Dean is still complaining and I'm still singing Taaarzaaaan, so you're not missing much.
I hope you're having an amazing time in Thailand and are drunk as you read this.

Hi Alex
Another week, another graduation. Had a good time yesterday. Much bigger ceremony than one Chris had. They had pauses for clapping, strange... mainly 'cos there were many students but we were told that we could clap for whoever we'd come to see, so you can imagine that was also strange. If you'd been there it would have been louder from the Burton contingent as none of us could whistle. Prof Robert Winston received an honorary degree. What a man - incredible bloke, he wore a very pale blue Jamie Oliver type suit under his orange robe.
I've asked Eve to attach some pics of both for you to have a look at via your hotmail account.
Glad you're having a good time, keep looking at your itinary. Hope you didn't have a numb bum from the elephant ride!! Surprised you didn't feel sick from all the swaying.
Stay safe and keep away from those ladyboyz - I can imagine they are on the lookout for anyone they think can get them a ticket over here - so no I don't want any lodgers.
Love you,
Mum xxxx

Alex!
Glad that you enjoyed part 1 in India...
It's off to Bangkok for you, stay away from the ladyboys... "Fascinating creatures, though. Looks like a lady, but really it's a man. I don't find them attractive, it's just confusing". (Alan Partridge).
Great photos Alex, keep snapping away!
Be safe, take care and ENJOY!

Hello my darling son,
almost your last day, glad you're enjoying yourself. We had a totally brilliant time yesterday at Chris's graduation but wished you were with us. Chris got one big cheer from his mates when he went up on the stage. Strange ceremony in some respects but nicer than Hull's in others. They get hooded on stage, so walk onto the stage with their hoods over their right arms and the hoody person places it over their gowns before they get their handshake from the Chancellor - Chris Patton - he who was last governor of Hong Kong. The reception afterwards was champagne and strawberries. Chucked it down on the way back so was very tired when we got in.
I'd attach some pics but no button to attach so will get Eve to email them to you. Claire's next on Thursday, just hope the rain holds off until after the ceremony. So proud of all of you - so clever, leave me and your dad standing. Hannah, says Hi. I told her of your exploits.
Love you loads Mum xxx
