DAY 34: HEADING HOME!!!
Well I guess all good things must come to an end. We still fitted in some last minute sightseeing by making full use of our late checkout before closing the book on this holiday.
Nic spent the morning at the Metropolitan Museum of Art - not really Joshua's and my cup of tea, so we returned to the winter wonderland across the street for more snow fights. With the confidence of his experience at Rockefeller behind him, Josh also had another go on the blades at the Central Park rink.
As I write this, we are currently enjoying a feed near our gate at JFK airport. Flights at this stage seem to be on time, so all going well, we should be LA bound in a couple of hours. After a short layover there, we will be homeward bound direct from LA to Brisbane.
While it's sad the holiday has come to an end, I think it's safe to say we're all ready to return home (note I said 'home' - school and work, not so sure about!).
Sometimes I think this vacation has just flown by too quickly, but then I'll look at photos of Bourbon St and the theme park madness of Orlando and those places seem so long ago.
We've ticked so many boxes and made so many memories over this holiday, it's hard for any of us to nominate a single favourite moment. I guess we'll just get home, unpack, settle back into the daily grind...
... and then start planning our next adventure!
