Craig & Jills Round the World Trip
Last night we went on a very scary walk in search of glow worms. It took us through the jungle like forest in the pitch black with a tiny torch to guide us. We were on our own and we didnt know where we were going. Craigs arm is still sore today from me holding on to it so tightly. Luckily we managed to spot several lots of glow worms along the side of the river. It was bizarre seeing them glowing up, like little blue LED lights. Thankfully we made it back alive to our bed for the night.
Today we went on a tour round 2 caves. The first one we werent able to take any photos inside. It was inside this one that we got to see thousands of glow worms glowing on the roof of the cave as we glided below in a boat. the best way to descibe it is looking up at the stars at night, however these shine more blue, it really was amazing to see. It made Jill think about her little glow worm that she sold on ebay to fund her travels! (Ben you still owe us the money for this!)
Second cave had no glow worms so we were able to take photos, but this was full of hundreds of staligtites(however you spell it) all hanging from the roof, and glistening with water as it drips down them.
We then drove to Rotoura passing through another nice small town called Cambridge, wheer we stopped at a gorgeous deli for lunch. We both had big bowls of salad, it was good to be eating something healthy.
New Zealand is very much like england, its pissing it down today! So just been walking round the shops trying not to spend money, which Jill finds very hard!
