I really wanted to talk to my mum throughout the night as really wasn't feeling well but the time difference makes it so awkward. I wasn't successful but thought I'd try again tomorrow. I woke up feeling a bit better and very excited for the day we had planned. The pods that we were sleeping in were so dark that it's difficult to tell what time it is. As a result, we didn't wake until 9.45 which isn't like us. We headed down for breakfast which consisted of fruit and toast. Then the strangest thing happened. I bumped into a friend who I went to primary school with called Hannah. We come from literally the smallest village near Bath and now we're both in Kuala Lumpur at Reggae Mansion having breakfast in the same room at the same time! Crazy! We said hello and caught up for a bit. Breakfast was coming to an end so we had to hurry up and eat. Hannah was off to New Zealand today. After all that shock and surprise, we got all dolled up, took some laundry down to be washed and made our way to the worlds 6th largest tower called the Menara Tower. We were heading to the restaurant 282 metres up called 'Atmosphere 360' to have a buffet for afternoon tea. The restaurant revolves around to give you a full 360 degrees view of KL. We walked to the tower from the hostel all dressed up at 3 in the afternoon, we got all sorts of funny looks. Once at the bottom, we had to get a shuttle to the entrance. We got in the lift and went straight to the top. It goes so high it made my ears pop several times on the way up. We were one of the first people there so had first pick of the buffet...ideal! There were different kinds of breads, sandwiches, samosas, noodles, chicken and a selection on cakes. Let's just say we had more than our moneys worth, I was up and down like a yo-yo! It was a bit weird as when you went up to the buffet, your table had moved by the time you got back. We tried to get lots of cool photos against and sitting on the large window panes so the city below was the background which both the Sarahs were pretty good at. I'm afraid of heights but wanted a photo too so ended up looking such a drama queen as was panting and pulling the most ridiculous faces whist trying to have a picture taken. Epic fail for me! We were there for the maximum time allowed and had to be asked to leave. We left the tower and headed across to look at one of the main shopping malls. It was really developed and actually just like being at one at home with pretty much most of the same retail brands. We stocked up on toiletries and the girls bought some MAC make up. After, we headed to see the Petronas Towers. They looked so much better at night. We took loads of pictures and then made the error of asking a group of lads to take a group photo of us. It all got very confusing as they didn't speak any English and we obviously don't know Malaysian so it ended up with them being in the photo and getting someone else to take it. Then they asked for individual photos. The girls walked off towards the towers to get some closer pictures and I was coming up close behind before having some random guy ask if he could have a photo with me...strange, but I thought what harm will it do. Well before I knew it, three more came up to me and asked. I was desperately trying to get away without being blunt or rude and was trying to get either Sarah's attention. I felt like I was some sort of celebrity being ambushed! Obviously I enjoyed the attention but it was getting all a bit bizarre and they were getting more and more creepy looking. I resorted to just screaming SARAH and hoping one of them would look round which they did thank god. Masa came back and got me. Some continued to ask as we were walking away, but I got more brutal and started saying no! We made our way to a taxi and then back to the hostel. We decided to watch a film in the hostel's cinema room. They had a massive selection of films that we could choose from. It cost £2 each to watch a film or if 5 people left a review on trip advisor, the film was free. Two guys overheard us talking about a film and wanted in on it so there was our 5. We also asked our roomie, Jason from Canada. The cinema was pretty impressive, it genuinely was like a cinema, just smaller. We watched 'Flight' which was really good. After the film, Sarah headed up to the rooftop bar for a pizza and I went to the room to talk to Kerry my cousin. It was really good to see her, Olivia and Annabelle, although I don't think Olivia was all that excited to see me as I was rudely interrupting Pepper Pig! I was starting feel pretty unwell again so at 1.30 am we all headed to bed. We had booked the 7 wonders of KL tour tomorrow so I was looking forward to that.
