What can I say... I love this country
Argentina has everything, honestly, everything.
Tierra del Fuego and Patagonia are the perfect examples of it.
They got the nature. Big time.
What God, erosion, anything, has planned for Patagonia the very south of the world is amazing, mezmerising and unforgettable. These sceneries just cannot be found anywhere else.
And now, I'm in El Calafate actually, just spent two awesome days in El Chaltén, the most beautiful and sweet little village in the world. From there, I hiked to the Cerro Fitz Roy with this Polish engineer guy Michal (or well, his name is spelled in some way differently... Polish) who had been working for one year in Antactica! Getting to know this guy was one of the best moments of the southern loop of my travels here in South America without a doubt!
To get back roughly a one week and returning to the moment in Ushuaia, I met the first Israelis ever by finding myself in a hostel with some 15 Israelis and none other! I checked Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego which was more than a pleasant surprise, I was astounised of its beauty. However, disappointed with the local brew of The Beagle.
Next I got myself to Puerto Natales, enjoyed the awesome beers of Austral, did the W (the previous blog) and got myself to El Calafate where I went to the glacier of Perito Moreno. Lot of ice, though not that impressing after the Finnish winters I guess...
Afterwards, a bus to El Chaltén which came to be one of the highlights of my whole trip. The nature around there is absolutely mezmerising! Even though I burnt myself worse than ever from neck and right side of my body I learnt to love hiking a lot and will continue searching awesome hikes here in South America. Now to a bus to Rio Gallegos and afterwards a 36hrs micro to my hometown, Buenos Aires <3.
Abrazo,
Miikka
