...loved the sandpit and watching the sunset!! What a gorgeous experience and memory! Pleeeeezz don't swim with any more stingrays - need to see you both back in one piece! My sister thought she'd like to make friends with baby stingrays when we were at Indian Rocks Beach in Florida a few years ago - she's mad and thinks she's a sort of Dr. Dolittle!! Isn't Coromandel a musical sort of place name - lovely! - may have to use it for the Siamese cat I have promised myself in my dotage!! Keep writing, lots of love xx

Hi everyone, I thought I'd send a message as Jane is updating the blog. We really appreciate your messages and only sorry that we can't reply individually but we are forcing ourselves to see the sights and hopefully do some possibly daft things on the way. We went off the beaten track a couple of days ago to follow a sign saying - To the Gravity Canyon, which sounded interesting. Driving through amazing countryside with deep gorges when we came across this bungy, canyon swing and flying fox place. Saw quite a few (mostly 20 something yearolds) doing these mad things and we regretted not doing a flying fox run together - dropping from 200+ m at 160Kph to the other end of the canyon. Looked fantastic and loads of screaming (with pleasure we're sure) from those that did it. We've vowed not to miss it next time but the Canyon swing looked a bit too much with a drop for 80m before swinging out and the bungy is out as my back won't manage it (that's my excuse!). In smelly Rotorua but heading north when we finish on here. Some brilliant places near here which I'm sure Jane is updating on.
Talking of daft things - I did manage a swim, and a few dives off the boat, in Doubtful Sound which is basically a Fjord near the south of the South Island. Very cold so didn't stay in too long and felt very warm immediately afterwards, then very cold later. A flying fox ride would be a doddle after that.

Julia / Nana!!
Well, I said on my last message that the next time I posted a message on this website it would be as a Nana! You have all the details by e-mail so need for all that in this space! Thanks for your congrats! Baby Dillon Joshua is doing well and guzzling away, Mum and Dad are tired but happy! Am going up to Norwich tomorow to visit them with my sister, my niece and Jess. More pics will doubtless be on their way to you by e-mail soon!!
Great to read of your continuing travels and wondrous sights. You're on holiday so the wine at all times is absolutely de rigeur - don't spare your livers - plenty of time to detox when you return - after all the welcome homes and gatherings to talk it all over, that is!! Not to mention toasting Kerri's Graduation and Tara's new life at Uni. Well, it'll all be just one celebration after another!
Lots of love and thanks for the beautiful pics. xx
Mum

Hi Guys, I see Mum has made it to modern technology before I did!! I am so jealous what a fantastic time you are having. Its was lovely to see photos of Steve & family, give them my love, and say if they ever want to house swop I'm up for it!! Well, I have some news. We experienced an earthquake at the weekend. We were in Hythe and the house started shaking!! I've always wanted the earth to move for me!. Hence to say Nicole went histerical and packed her bags immediatley. I'll keep watching as long as you keep having a great time. Make the most of every single moment eh! Luv Ya Debbie Do& crew xxxxxxxx

Looked at the recent pics and read the NZ blog - all really great and liked all the typos too! - they add a certain je ne sais quoi to the general viewing enjoyment of the pics!! So, you're still having a great time and seeing amazing things... God! How annoying!!! Poor JanieB with the headache though, shades of Darjeeling illness following Sikkhim trek breakfast for Bryan and Kerri?!
Butterflies and happy Bryan pic is lovely! Have been doing a lot of driving to Norwich as Edd hit a worrying complication last week but hopefully all resolved now and we're waiting for news that the baby's on the way at any time!! It was due yesterday. My next message will probably be when I'm a Granny!!
Keep the updates going! xx
