Happy anniversary to us! Thank you Bryan for the beautiful ring. A lovely memory of our celebration in Lisbon. The hotel we are staying in delivered a bottle of Portuguese sparkling wine and glasses this afternoon. Such a lovely surprise. When we booked the hotel they recommended Largo to us as a good restaurant for an anniversary dinner, which Bryan booked. Looking forward to that.

We visited the castle today as well as sightseeing through the Belem district. Will post those photos as well.

A Turkish couple and their two children are staying in our hotel and I've been chatting to the children in English. They attend a private school in Turkey and their English is really of a high standard. Jenna and Jason would have enjoyed their company. They are lovely children. We ran into them while doing the touristy things today.

Tomorrow we will visit Sintra, a town about 45km from here, on a guided tour. Apparently it is worth a visit.

Strange to think we will be on our way to Cape Town in a week. Looking forward to seeing Jenna and Jason and thanking my mom profusely for staying with them. What a blessing she is!
