After an interestingly long stop-over in Dubai and an exhausting flight to Lisbon, we are happy to be here. With our experience in India still fresh in our minds, we are enjoying the tastes and sounds of a cooler Lisbon. Our hotel is centrally located with the waterfront on the Tagus river within walking distance. Bryan left in a taxi this morning after a scrumptious hotel breakfast. We have planned a guided tour to towns nearby for Sunday; palaces and stunning views and local seafood is on the agenda. The gelato at dinner last night reminded us of Jenna. The whoopie cushions in a store made us think of Jason. Ideally, they would be here too. I like to think of this trip as a reconnaissance for our next travel holiday as a complete family.
Today is my dear friend Hanneke's birthday; I shall have cake in celebration of her. Tomorrow we will celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary. God is good. May we always honour Him in actions, words and even in our thinking. Soli Deo Gloria!!
