hiya! thanks for your email jak! yeh i do feel lucky to be here but it does take some sinking that yoyur actually in australia. It was a great feeling landing but i just wished id had awindow seat to take in the fab views of the harbour but never mind.I called home today & neely as been filling me into all the lastest happenings back home & i must say im glad not to be there.Just keep ya chin up cos you will have agood xmas & laugh at julias no doubt.Ill be staying with the same family over xmas time if i enjoy it there that is & i had to laugh cos i called them today & the guy asked me if i could drive a tractor ha! well i soon will be able to apparantly! My friend emma left today & Bingara just doesnt feel the same so im eager for once to move on even though i concidered staying for xmas & going to the rodeo for the new year but i guess not now.Our friend mick is riding in it too.I went on a kangaroo hunt the other day & it was so cruel ive got to send you the pics of me holding this baby kangaroo which i took out the mothers pouch! it looked like a pink alien about the size of a guinea pig & i felt sorry for it but kind of new its fate so had to except it.Mick chopped its head off but i ran off at that point! when they were cutting & skinning the adults all the flesh kept moving on its own cos of the nerves which was minging!! The people here are sooo friendly & offer you lifts where ever you want to go but theres not much concern for conservation or wildlife they seem to want to shoot everything that moves which i dont like .I was thinking about joining wildlife warriours which is founded by steve & terri irwin cos id love to think i was helping in some way & the fact that it still upsets me that such a briiliant human being who did so much conservation work around the world educating people isnt here anymore! thats my mind made up thers definatly no god out there! Well i hope all the family are ok & pass on my info.Pissed off today hope tomorrow is better & things seem more clear but hey ill not complain too much cos i could wake up back in england ha! can see me staying for longer then ive planned.miss you too & ill be in touch soon love you all byeeeeeeexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

hi brooke, i hope your doing ok where you are... iv been looking through the pictures youve taken of Australia and it looks absolutley stunning, i bet you were lost for words when you first stepped off that airoplane. All my friends are jealous of you, and you have inspired them into traveling down under when they have time off in the future lol. I dont think even after 6 months you will be able to take the australian scenery for granted after growing up in dismal and grey England lol- your so lucky to see what your seeing for such a long period of time so i really want you to make the most of it. Everything is still the same here but i hope it all changes for when you come back home... Im really missing you now and cannot wait to see you next year.
i hope you enjoy yourself further and remeber to check inside your shoes for black widow spiders.
love you, love jak xxx

Hi everyone! just aquick message to let you no ive put some new pictures on my site so have a look! leaving on wednesday morning.I must say im going to miss this little town that comes alive on a night time! since i last spoke we have drank a bit more & partied a lot more.On friday there was a live band on playing at the pub we are staying at.All the old jilliroos come in & the lads so had a great night & finished off at the river but i fell asleep on the grass with the ants ouch!! Sat night we went to this golf charity night for one of the lads friends who died of cancer & enjoyed that too apart from the guy that i have been hanging out with cory who went off with his old flame which was a bit poo but hey thats what you get for playing hard to get! only liked him cos he reminded me of steven irwin ha ha!! so after that night me & emma needed a boost so got up early & went downstairs in the pub in our pjs & put loads of songs on the juke box & danced all morning! i bet the locals thought we were bonkers! played pool that night & the goggle game.Tonight we plan to go pig hunting so i best get ready for the blood & gore im about to see.Ill try update before i leave bye4nowxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

hiya!! thanks for your email duggie! wwoofing stands for willing workers on organic farms.yeh i hope i get good hosts too but i think most of the families are used to welcoming travellers & have to be open minded in the first place.HI everyone!! im still having fun in Bingara! but im not drinking so much for the next few nights cos tuesday night we all decided to go swimming in the river & i climbed this massive tree with hardly any clothes on being rather drunk & swang on this rope swing into the dark water not being able to see a thing! haha! it was so much fun though but i couldnt help thinking about crocs even though there isnt any this far down the coast. Not liking the heat now its really harsh & its getting hotter! i think its in the fortys.Lost my phone card so i need to get another one very soon so ill be calling home tomorrow.I forgot you were working neely when i called lastnite but ill be in touch for definate before the weekend.Keep trying to find somewhere to download my pics but the most of the computers here are down at the moment except this one.speak soon bye4nowxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey You x
Great to read about the Jackaroo Jillaroo Experience, what a contrast it seems to be compared to the big citys like Sydney, had a look on google for some pictures of the town your in, looks like a proper cow boy western town! what fun! bet it's been good to be with people like your self, sounds like your having a right laugh, swimming in the creeks & rivers sounds fantastic, don't think id fancy it in England at the moment, FREEZING and our River Trent doesn't seem quite as appealing ha ha! Silly season eh, you'l fit in well then! ha ha JOKE! wish i could experience the different parties, have you had a BBQ with Roo burgers yet?...I got my first Christmas party next week, don't think it will compare to the ones your having though, i aren't putting on me skin tight skellington suit like last time! mind you, could liven up the boring gits at our work!.......Dont want to sound a Dougie, but what does Wwroof stand for? Hope it's a nice family you go to on the cattle ranch. Any way c ya 4 now! Hope it's a good band at the weekend! miss ya! xxxxxxxxxx X xxxxxxxxxxx

HELLO!!!!!!! SORRY I ant updated my journal for a while but computers are not that easy to find in Bingara! im using the one in the local saddlery so im afraid no pictures for the moment.I was sooo happy when i read everyones msgs yesterday its nice to no you ant forgot me yet! haha.WOW dont no where to start cos it seems like ive done so much in these past few weeks. The ballet i went to see was breathtaking!! i booked the best seat seen as id be doing it once in a life time! the first half was a traditional scene but so beautiful to watch with the live orchestra & twelve dancers all in white tutus with one male dancer dancing between them with the main girl. The second half was more mordern & it was like an ancient greek theme with a twisted love story & i couldnt take my eyes of the dancers they were so talanted & after the show i just wanted to dance around to see if i could move like that but NO! haha.I must say its something ill never forget. The blue mountains was the next trip i did & that was brilliant too.Called at featherdale wildlife park first & this true aussie looking guy come onto our coach with a baby walaby in his rucksack & thats the first time i recall getting rather excited! sado arnt i! only had one hour to look round but petted a koala & kangaroo so i was satisfied. When we got to the blue mountains we took a cable car across the vally & it had a glass bottom so we could see the waterfalls beneath us so that was fun.I made friends with this american girl & we spilt up from the group & were late back to the coach & the driver was going to make us sing our countrys national anthem haha i nearly died!! but we got away with it.We also took a ride on the scenic railway which is in the world records for being the steapist in the world.Left sydney for the jilliroo experience which was seven hours on the train & two on the country link bus into Bingara! met my group & the host john that nite & we stayed in the pubs B&B.That morning john took us to the ranch where we stayed for five nights. On the first day we were mustering sheep with the local farmers & were expected just to get on with it like one of them which was really cool! he had hundreds of horses & foals & we had to round the horses up too which wasnt easy in that heat! we watched them be broken in the hard way which i thought wasnt the best way to do it but it worked the best for them i suppose.Experienced a wild pig & roo hunt which was so much fun on the back of a pickup with the pig dogs & lanterns! i only went to star gaze & ive never seen a night sky so beautiful! went back after a few hours & luckily they missed the shots when i was there cos i was scared they was going to kill a female roo with a baby cos when they do they have to bash the baby one on the head.I had to get used to the fact the animals out there are money for them & its a different way of life to back in the uk.Could sit & write all day about the stuff we did on the ranch. johns a great man with such a sense of humour & we all had nick names by the end of the week.I met this girl emma who i am still with today & its so funny cos we supposed to have left Bingara twice already & we keep paying for more nights in the pubs B&B! We have left the ranch but love this little country & western town swimming in the river everyday plus we have made friends with johns son mick & pals cory & co they have been taking us to all the local parties as its now silly season here so they call it.We went to the anglers fishing party by the river the other day.My friend has to leave thursday to go to a job in perth & i am wwoofing at a cattle ranch next week but im thinking of staying over the weekend cos theres a live band on & dont want to go haha! well ill be off for now & thanks for all the emails esp from roy&joy & nannan & aunty ruth who i didnt no was following my progress.ill try to send personal emails & txts to you all when i can.Hope you enjoy germany pat & tell uncle pete happy birthday from me! gem thanks for keeping in touch too.love you all byeeeeeeeeexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
