It's official. I'm going on Semester at Sea this fall. Yesterday I broke the news to my supervisor at work. She was neither angry nor surprised. The former, I feared, the later, I knew. When I announced my decision to go on SAS (and therefore, leave EUSA), my wonderful colleagues were a bit disappointed that I was leaving (ahem...as they should be! ;) but overall very supportive and excited for the adventure that awaits me. In the end, regardless of how excited or ready you are for a change, it's always hard to leave a place and people you love.
So thus it begins. The chronicles of my journey outward, around this crazy globe, into the (somewhat) unknown. Despite my excitement and eagerness to get going, I still have 2.5 months of work and a lot of prepping before I leave. Time to bear down and FOCUS! There are weddings to enjoy, conferences to attend, Paris to explore, and a triathlon to ROCK! Rest is for the weak apparently.
In other news: Ian will be joining me on the voyage 'round the world, which makes the whole thing that much better and easier to endure! He is my sweetie after all. :)
