I've been reading past RD blogs and trying to learn as much about the experience as I can. A common theme I've read in others' blogs is the nervousness of travel in general. That's not the part that makes me nervous. Perhaps because I've already traveled and live abroad so much that it doesn't faze me. The parts that DO make me nervous are 1) getting on a ship and being so sea sick the whole time that I can't function 2) getting back into the swing of the "student affairs" thing, and 3) interacting with students up-close and personal again. I assume the student affairs and student stuff is like riding a bike. But the sea sickness is a whole other story. Let's just pray that I don't overdose on Dramamine during the trip!
