0700 start to the day, breakfast and chill out till we wait for the bus to pick us up. We forgot what time this would be however and lucky jono went and checked cos we would have probaly missed it. The time was 0845, so we knew that they should arrive 0900. Close, it was 0954! We made our way to the Mele Cascades waterfall with stops along the way to get other adventure seekers. One of the travellers was an older gentlemen who wanted to try this before he died. Good one him.
We got out at the entrance to the Mele Waterfalls and had a brief from our instructors on whats going to happen. Then we made the trek up the hill. There was 3 stops along the way cos it was a bit steep but we made it to the top. Had a quick drink, some happy snaps and off we went again, this timethe ground was flat so no more up hill hikes. we reached the stop for our demo on ab sailing and noticed the old guy wasnt with us, they sent a guide back with some water and we waited in the shade. All good, he arrived minutes later saying he just needed a bit more of a rest.
One of the instructors gave us the demo on ab sailing and we went to the bottom and watched him come down the cliff. We had to get in the water to do this and it was, lets say refreshing lo. More photos and then it was our turn. One by one we made our way down the cliff and more happy snaps. Wasnt too diffcult at all. I was wearing a GO PRO head cam so hopefully i got some good footage(im still waiting for it to come back).
Ok so we all passed and now was the big one, to go down cascades. Jono and i went last but didnt bother us. The climb down was fairly easy. Some parts we actually had to get under the waterfall and also near the cave. The running water made it hard to manouvure around at times and was cold. But we made it to the bottom in one piece :)
So we walked back down the bottom and had more happy snaps, then back on the bus to our resort.
The rest of the day we just spent hanging on the hammock and went into town to do some gift shopping for our familes.
