Our latest entry
Cape Coral, Florida
Well we made it! We arrived home today and it felt wonderful. The warmth...the moist air...wonderful! With some regret we bid the Blue Beast adieu and love being back in our home.
Our trip was a marvelous challenge. At times we thought it might have been a tad too much for us....then there were those times we marveled at our resolve. …
Mickey Dianis So impressed with your trip. Barb, you are becoming braver as the trip goes on. As I read your comments I think of Paul's grandparents. They made this trip back in the '50s, in a car, when the road wasn't completely paved. I never thought of them as rugged, but I guess they were troopers when they were a bit younger. I didn't meet them till the mid 60s.
re: Dawson Creek, British Columbiakim bolt really looking forward to talking to you about the trip and especially the road conditions. we have heard so many conflicting stories about the alaskan highways. see you in a few months.
re: Fairbanks, AlaskaMickey Dianis I just caught up with you at Dawson Creek. I hope you all are having internet interruption issues and no other issues. Today is the 30th and your last post was the 25th. Looking forward to the next update.
re: Dawson Creek, British ColumbiaLonnie I am sorry I missed you guys. I would have loved to see you. I think you guys should sell that RV, sell the place in Ft. Meyers, buy a place in my Mom's development in Elgin and then a condo in Naples by my Mom. I know my mother would love that as she misses you two.
re: Marengo, IllinoisMickey I give Abby 5 stars! This is my first time reading your blog. I want to get on the road right now, but without you two. You have too many repair issures. I'm going to try and get in touch with the safe travel fairy to make the rest of your trip perfect.
re: St Albert, Albertageorgiann It was a great day. Remember the girl scout song. "Make new friends but keep the old some are silver and the others gold" well we are all gold. If you lived in Illinois we could do this all the time.
re: Dear Friendsg renda If you can drive for 10 hours in a small car with 3 adolescent boys, an old fish breath dog and no airconditioning - this should be a piece of cake Georgiann
re: Kutztown, Pennsylvaniajoyce Barb , It will be great when you "really"get going, without all the side adventures in the repair shop and trying to figure out the RV manuals. Wishing you smooth sailing, (oops, is this expression just for boats) Oh well, maybe you should try that next. Miss you. Hi to Hugh and Abbie. Love ya, Joyce
re: Lehighton, PennsylvaniaMary Ann How are you two handling the hot weather? In Florida for a week and it is pretty steamy here. Have a great time, MA
