Hey fam!
Another very, very busy week in the books. I had 4 job interviews this week and am hoping to hear back from the one I'm most interested in on Tuesday afternoon. One of the jobs was only 6 hours a week at minimum wage and that isn't enough for me.. And the second one wanted me to work all day on Saturday and I already paid $200 for football tickets so I can't work Saturdays..and he wanted every Saturday /especially home game days. This last interview went very well. I'm excited about the job. It's for a company that plays "matchmaker" with people who are looking for jobs and employers but it's not just anyone. All of the clients are CEOs of health care companies or deans of medicine or high end doctors or something. It's $11 and hour and just doing office/secretary work and no weekend. I'll hear if I got the position or not on Tuesday.
Meanwhile I've been busy with homework and such.
Wednesday night Ryan and Kevin (His roommate) and I went to comedy wars again. They're a student run comedy show that's every Wednesday.
I went to my first NSCS (honor society) meeting with the Mizzou chapter on Thursday and volunteered with them Saturday morning at the local food bank.
Friday at noon Mizzou took a "family photo" with Mizzou faculty, staff and students by the columns in support of college colors day. I'll post the picture but be aware that you'll see a lot of grad students wearing red shirts and that is because they are rallying for another reason and wanted to voice their opinions.
Friday night I went to a free "welcome back" tailgate for students and caught a few minutes of a Mizzou soccer game. Afterwards friends and I went to the movie on the football field. That was amazing. We sat on the 10 yard line and watched it up on the jumbo screen. We brought blankets and it was very comfortable.
The football game was an experience to say the least it was awesome sitting so close and in the student section but I've never had so much sweat rolling off of me. It was 92 degrees outside and inside the stadium had to be hotter. The bleachers were all metal and the sun beat on us. I had sweat through my shirt before we even got in the stadium and that was 1.5 hour before the game even started. By the end we could literally feel the salt on our bodies from all the sweating but I'm glad I was one of the few that stayed for the whole game. I was able to mark off another thing on my Mizzou bucket list when the chancellor came by and I shook his hand, he even took picture with me. It's hard to believe that in a few weeks we'll be complaining that it's cold during the games.
I have no plans for tomorrow, Monday or Tuesday ;)
It's nice being in college sometimes :)
Love you!
