Day 27
Great day two to the Cork trip. We decided to skip the walking tour of Cork because it didn;t interest us and instead we took a bus ride to Middleton to the Jameson Factory. The factory was soo much fin! We got to tour the buildings and find out how the Jameson Whickey is made today and hoe the factory works which was really interesting. It was neat to learn what the difference is between the different Whickey's they produce. At the end of the tour the woman leading it asked for volunteers to do a taste testing of different whiskey's. Jill and Dan both volunteered and got selected and what followed because of that was ridiculously funny! Both got to sample Jameson whiskey, Jack Daniels and Scotch. Then they also got to sample another glass of Jameson Whiskey. So not only did they have all that, but they also finished off what the other people didn't drink! I'm pretty sure that Dan had more then ten shots! Oh, and did I mention that they did this in completely empty stomachs! They were both plastered at 1pm in the afternoon, it was absolutely hysterical!! We managed to get everyone out of the Distillery without any mayhem and walked a few shops down the street in front of the distillery to a burger joint. The two of them were cracking the rest of us up! Jill had on her coral scarf and she kept flinging and twirling it all around herself like crazy. At one point she put it over her head and goes "If this scarf were blue...I'd be the virgin mary!" The ironic part is that she owns a blue scarf, and we were all cracking up. Dan and Jill also had a rather lengthy conversation in gibberish with each other. None of us could understand them, but they understood each other, lol. The other thing that kept cracking me up was that they kept sticking their tongues out at each other! Oh, the pictures from this bring tears of laughter to my eyes every time I see them. We had so much fun (some us more then others, lol).
After we ate, Jill started to slowly sober up, althogh Dan was still pretty drunk. We ened up missing the bus back to Cork and had to wait for the second one to come which was no big deal. We just poked around a few stores and time went by pretty quick. Once we got back to Cork, Jil escorted Dan back to the hostel because he kept trying to walk in the middle of the road and Jamie and I decided to hit this tacky tourist shop we had seen the day before. After that we met the bus and began the journey home.
Again, it was quite the weekend. Until next time...
