Midday update: Oh so...I grab the bus this morning at about 10am and head out to Oahu's northern coast. I get to a great spot at the Turtle Cove Resort and I stop for lunch, pictures and finally a hike off to the edge of the cove. It was very cool but not mountainous like other hikes I have seen of Hawaii. I think i've run a ways from the touristy part of the island to the less traveled north shore. Maybe I'll find a flight to Hilo tomorrow or the next day. 70-80% of the tourists here are Japanese, I'm sure some are Korean. Brandr eat your heart out.
On my hike:
I found a bike. No owner..then later the owner about 1/4 mile from me wearing nothing...needless to say...I did not go that way. After the conclusion of my hike, I laid out near the water....looked towards going in and as I did so....It rained. I'm now inside near a huge barking parrot and at the business center. The resort averages between 269-1600 per night. Don't forget the tax. It's well worth it though.
Message me if you know of any good hikes of the island, i've found a few but trying to locate the alalalalala names on a map gets tiring after awhile. They should change all there names to include S, N, W, and E and maybe "don't go there or do" so they can be found.
What to do for the rest of the day? Get in position for sunset on the western shore. I wonder if you can see a green flash of elvis right before sunset. That would be cool.
