We didn't wake up until 4:00 pm. Our friend, Sylvia, was back from Switzerland by then. I felt guilty about sleeping-in at first but the previous night was well worth it. Julia and I were left alone for this whole day. Our friend is fluent in French, as well as English, so she was an asset for getting around Paris. We thought we'd be fine for the one day she wasn't with us. Wrong. We started our day with eggs, bacon, and mamosas. Then, the two of us headed up to the terrace to check out the view.
