Amsterdam to Berlin

This morning we woke all refreshed and ready to continue our journeys. Our train was at 8:00am, we had breakfast and put on our backpacks, (mum I bet your going to laugh when you see what I'm about to write; my bag was exploding when I was packing it last night so when I woke up in the early hours of the morning, I actually hadn't finished packing but organised my stuff and I had to hide some clothes and my hair straightner in Trav's backpack!)

It was still dark and cold when we were walking to the station and our shoulders and so sore from carrying our bags, I think we are both going to need a massage when we get back!

We caught our first train to Hilversun no worries and then waited at the station for 20 minutes for our train to Berlin central. It was so cold waiting and we actually met another couple from Port Macquarie who were heading to Berlin too. The train to Berlin was 6 long hours but lucky it wasn't a busy train and they have power points so I just watched Gossip Girl while Trav read his book and slept.

We arrived at Berlin at about 3:00pm. I thought we had experienced the cold but once we arrived here it was nothing to what we got. There was snow everywhere, everything is white and slippery and you could see the snow falling, it was actually pretty cool! (Get it? Cool?!)

Our hotel is located opposite the train station, thank goodness we didn't have to walk far! We are on the top floor and our view is AMAZING! For dinner we wanted a traditional meal and went to the oldest restaurant in Berlin for dinner and had ham and potato soup and bangers and mash with pickled cabbage.
