Coogee. The first port of call in the country of Oz-traaaaalia. We had a very breif time in Sydney before being whisked of rather too tired and possibly a little jet lagged already by the OzIntro Mini-Bus. The next few days we pottered around the small town with its beautiful bay beach, and all the shop ammeneties with Sydney a short 15 minute bus ride for the hussle and bussle.
It took a good few days for both me and Beth to recover from our jet lag. But we were to go on to spend just under 3 weeks in the place. It was so Homely, minus the beach of course, there was so many fun people to greet us to the backpacker way and lifestyle. This being the first time we discovered 'Goon' (Box Wine - 4L of it) Which has a backpacker story behind it, but its pish! But it sounds cool. The story goes that 'goon' is a aboriginal name for pillow, as the wine (goon) comes in a bag and once drunk it can be blown up to make a nice comfy pillow.
We arrived early to find our feet in this warm continant/country and hopefully recover in time for our OzIntro week. This was where we pretty much spent our 1st week, on the internet (as it was free) We also did some important things off course, sorting out trips/plan out the trip etc. Blasting some cash. But the OzIntro week was great fun. Its great bumping into the original gang of OzIntro'rs up the coast!
Hmm.. What else happened in Coogee?! There was a couple of incidents there where 'Search & Recue' were sent out, with unfortunate consequences i'm lead to believe :(
The Hostel was what we thought was a stereotypical Hostel over here, Party time! Drunks! Sexy Time! The lot but 'SurfSide' was great fun, it just seemed to have alsorts of awesome people. (Especially Danny - The Naked Man) - & (Rooney - My Secret Hetro/Homosexual/Bro Lover) (K-Unit) (Fern 'Tree') And Without a shadow of a doubt it wouldn't of been awesomenessly amazing with the main man 'Treeeeeeent 'Oz' Ford'. Leg-End?!?! Quite Possibly.
I think that pretty much sums up the Coogee Mayhem.
