"Here comes the dynamite... Pow!" - James Jacobs
Following a breakfast at IHOP, we thought we'd hit up the shooting range before our room was ready to check into. Having packed our suitcases for the penultimate time, we were finally moving into a room where we could unpack... even if it was for 3 nights.
Pulling up at Range 702, we knew we were in for a treat, courtesy of Tina! Looking through the different packages that were on offer, Chris went for the Black Ops package (with added shotgun), and the rest of us went for the Zombiance package. The guns were far more powerful than we originally anticipated, which made the experience that much more enjoyable. We shot Osama Bin Laden and a couple of us managed to blow off the face of a child - boom!
The types of guns that we used today were the shotgun, MP5, M4, AK47, a glock and Chris even tested out a SAW (a gun normally used while laying down). Please see pictures for a better image of what we experienced.
Driving down the strip of Las Vegas it was time to check into our hotel; goodbye motels and crack addicts, hello Encore at the Wynn, partying and gambling. We made our way through the hotel to check-in, got our keys, took ourselves to the 31st floor where we were located and entered. We had arrived: there were remotes to control the curtains and lights, there was a separate bath to shower, a TV in the bathroom, and we had more than one pillow on the bed.
Good times!
Once we had dropped off our luggage, it was time to say goodbye to 'The Beast' as we took our beloved tank to the airport to be dropped off. We've driven many a dirt road, dropped many egg bombs and shared many memories with you. It's safe to say its been an absolute pleasure for each of us to have had the experience to drive you - thank you for taking us across America with no problems.
Where do we start with the evenings activities; we made sure that we crammed in what we could considering we had to be ready for our Grand Canyon tour tomorrow at 4am. We had dinner at Society Cafe where we got to enjoy a mixture of steaks, fish and burgers. We then made our way over to New York, New York to experience the Duelling Pianists - again recommended by Tina! Thanks again Tina! After a couple of hours, they eventually played the song Chris requested for Nick and James's birthday... Bon Jovi's 'You Give Love A Bad Name' - it went down a treat. A couple of drinks later, Chris left the room and cleared the room with him... we don't know what happened. We left, ate some pizza, and Nick placed a $10 bet on black in a game of roulette... he lost... he will keep trying until he wins ;) he's determined to win!
It's 01:15am and we've just arrived back at the hotel; we have 2 hours until we have to wake up and then we're off to the Grand Canyon. It's rumoured that Tiesto is in town tomorrow night and Calvin Harris is in town the night after... we may have to show this city how it's done.
Until tomorrow; we love you...
