$52 000! $52 000! What for you ask? Harvard university! The 3rd richest private organization, one of the richer ones being the catholic church! My parents keep on telling bad jokes like " when you get a job you tell them you've been to Harvard university," ha, ha, ha, so very funny... NOT! But they were not the only one. Our tour guid around the place told the worst jokes ever, so bad that it was actually quite funny. He was a student from Harvard. He told the holiday period which is so unfair compared to are holiday... They get about four to five months holiday during summer and get little holidays like our two week holidays (they get about two weeks off on Xmas which is winter time for them). I really want to go there when I'm older! After that we had a little wonder around the location of Harvard which is in Cambridge and came across a nice little farmers market which had some nice stuff there like cakes, biscuits, cheeses, cheese cakes & dark chocolate (they actually showed the bean they use to make the dark chocolate and sold little packages of the beans coated in chocolate for snacks, which you don't get in Australia).
From there we went to the shopping side of Boston and I bought a new pair of asic fluro pink runners to replace my old ones. Dad got some for only $30 while mine were $90!! Still cheap compared to Australia. Took dad into Macy's and dressed him up in trendy clothes, which made him look really different as he is definitely not trendy at all!!! Ha!!! Mom & I had a good laugh.
Had a good chat with a young English couple at the hostel that just happened to be going to the same hostel in LA at the same time as us, so we will see them again.
