We left our lovely hotel in Las Vegas and took a short one hour flight to LA. There was quite a difference in temperature with Las Vegas being around 38 degrees and LA being 22 degrees.
We took an airport shuttle to the youth hostel in Santa Monica. The hostel is a good one located in a great spot, only one block from the beach and the Santa Monica pier (this pier has been in lots of movies, eg Forest Gump).
We bumped into the young English couple we met in Boston. Good to see them and hear what they have been doing.
We spent the rest of the day organising tours and looking at shops.
