We are flying in a jumbo plane the company is called united airlines and they had some pretty good service and food (apart from the breakfast of scrambled eggs and tomato which made me feel sick just by the smell of it! Me mum and dad were all exhausted after that fifteen hour, never ending flight that we only got a couple of hours sleep on on a very awkward position. It was such a relief when the plane landed and I had know idea of what to expect. Mum says that it is just like Australia but you start to notice little things like the taxis being all sorts of collies shapes and sizes. The roads were like a bunch of spaghetti weaving through each other. Mum and Dad said that we are staying in a youth hostel. They don't know the quality of it! I an starting to get quite worried. As the bus driver is driving us to the youth hostel i look out the big window and realize that people are driving on the wrong side of the road and that I sound weird to the americans. I have gone on a long flight, realized all the differences and still don't feel like I am on a holiday in America. It's like my mind hasn't caught up yet. We were dropped off at the youth hostel and the building looks pretty old and I am getting even more worried! I walk in to realize that it is not that bad. In fact, it is very nice! It even has a cafe and lounge kind of place. As we were signing up we met some people. They were really nice. We had a chat and decided to have dinner with them. We had a look around (in other words a dad walk which goes on forever) but it was really nice. Mum was getting less stressed and more exited and wouldn't stop saying that we are on holiday. On our walk we came past probably the most touristy place. It was like a fairground. I had a really nice chocolate ice-cream which mum and dad ate half of. I convinced mum to come on the "extreme log ride-4D"! That was soooooooo much fun! We then went to a rainforest cafe place Which was amazing! We organized a big bike ride which I am really looking forward to. That evening we met up with are new friends from the youth hostel and went to a diner on chestnut street. We had a traditional American hamburgers! Mum filled herself up to much. Lukily she was able to walk it off on our walk back to the youth hostel. When we arrived we had a chat and said to meet at the youth hostels cafe for breakfast. This trip keeps getting better and better keeping in mind that it is only my first day here!
