Me and Ruth got up really early and decided to make the trek to Eli Creek. We thought it was only just up the beach so we didn't tell anyone we were going, and headed off. 3 km later we were there! Quite a mission but worth it! Crystal clear waters and not a soul in sight! We hung out there for a bit, cooling off and splashing around, then made our way back. On our return we got rapped knuckles for not telling anyone, and sat down to scrambles eggs...yumbo jumbo!
Packed up then drove back to Eli Creek, had so much fun! Walked/swam up the creek to the little swimming bit where the rest of the groups were, had a bit of a splash, saw a hiawge spider hanging over the water and an eel! Me, Ruth, Mick and Dominic (from another group) decided to float with the current back down the creek, and played a new game, impersonate a sea creature for everyone else to guess.....proved to be lots of fun! Chilled out at the bottom then headed up to Indian Head at the top of the island.
We climbed up the rocks to see a view down the entire island and out into the sea....incredible! Sometimes you can see sharks/dolphins/turtles in the sea, but it was a bit choppy that day, but still amazing views!
Stopped for a burrito lunch there then drove down to our campsite for the night, Cornwells campground. Set up camp, and me and Ruth cooked again, asian stirfry this time! Unfortunately the stirfry sauce was so spicy most people found it almost inedible, and there was rather a lot of sand in it, but its food all the same!
Had a singsong to Alan and his guitar, had a few drinks, then went to bed. The others stayed up a bit longer but I was fading fast!
