Went for coffee in 1770 to see it in the day, it was worth it! Its so beautiful, and theres a huge sand bar way out that you can see from the beach, although because of stingers you probably wouldn't swim it!
Mostly driving today, we all took it in turns to do a few hundred kms, and got into Airlie Beach around 8:30pm. Met up with the irish at a campsite just out of town, had a well needed shower and got all spruced up then went out on the town! The boys were watching the footie so I met Ruth in Beaches bar, where we had a few drinks, then met the boys in Paddy Shenannigans, which was awful so we moved upstairs to the Juice Bar. My favourite quote of the night was when Little Mick (theres two Micks and hes the smallest) was stood at the bar getting an earful from some bloke who believed that you shoudn't drink at easter for religious reason, when Mick was quite obviously blotted, and Mick turned round and said "its what Jesus would have wanted" - tehe!
Had a rather mad night and eventually made our way back to the campsite in the early hours.
