So today I was to be set loose in HK, on my own! Having had a practice run the day before, I felt pretty confident I would do this! The system here is far more efficient than in the UK. It seems they actually want you to find your way around rather than laughing at your misfortune when you go the wrong way!
I was set to meet my frient Carmen after lunch so I decided to browse around Festival Walk before meeting her at Causeway Bay. And that's where the purchases began...I met Carmen outside a mall called Sogo in Causeway, and then had lunch mall-style in one of the food court areas nearby. We made our way to Times Square for a spot of luxury shopping before making it to some boutique stores in the area.
The shopping is amazing, especially in the boutique malls which sell clothing styles similar to Abercrombie and All Saints for a fraction of the price! Suffice to say I went a little crazy on the shopping front, but it was worth it!
In the evening I met up with Bonnie after she had finished work and we made our way home together. Her father took us for a really nice Japanese at the local mall (mall's definitely seem to be the social focus in HK!) and we ended the day in a rather civilised fashion chilling and chatting.
