Arrived in Cairo this morning, with the overnight train being a few hours late. Not surprised. Egyptian time.

Had time to fit in one last Koshari for lunch (yum yum, although I really overdid the chilli this time...) before heading to the airport for my flight to Cyprus. Quite sad to say goodbye to Egypt. I definitely want to come back and spend more time in the desert.

Arrived Larnaka, Cyprus safe and sound. So quiet here. I picked up my hire car and am actually a little disappointed that the 2 seater smart car I booked has been upgraded to a four door Kia. I daresay more practical, but not nearly as cute! Driving was another experience. Although they drive on the left, all the controls in the car are in weird places. I also can't find speed signs anywhere which is very confusing. Didn't get to see much on the drive around as was already night time. Looking forward to checking things out tomorrow.

Ps- I love the way the Eurpeans cheer when the plane lands! Also love that at any given time you can find at least three tv channels with opera:)
