I awoke to the sound of seagulls outside the caravan , which shows how close we are to the sea . The beach is about 250 yards from our caravan front door . The sky is grey and cloudy , however the sun does breakthrough occasionally. The forecast is for sun later today and a good sunny day tommorrow . We will wait and see . The sun came out tonight and as we are So close to the beach I went down for a look . The beach is a massive expanse of golden sands with some dunes towards the back in places . On the right The sands just roll on and on toward a large rock outcrop and a light house and on the left in the distance is st Ives with it harbour entrance light shining in the distance. We continued down to hayle today and arrived at 13.30 we have booked on to the rivière sands for the weekend . Our caravan wasn't ready so we had to wait. Well we have got to Lyme Regis to see the olympic torch relay . It is absolutely hammering down with rain and we have encountered road closures due to flooding on the way .
