Pushkar is like Primark on a good day! It has so many clothes stalls selling all sorts of gorgeous silk prints & amazing dresses! Which is a good job as there really isn't much else to do here other than shopping or getting wasted on Bhang with the Isreali hippies! (I, of course, chose the former rather than the latter) So I've been in my element scouting round all the stalls & have bought a lovely printed dress & silk top, which with my ethnic pants makes me look a bit like an Isreali hippie! We've had a chilled few days here but it did take a whicle to relax at first as we'd previously been running around like mentalists trying to see everything. Pushkar is so small, everywhere is walking distance so no rickshaws to hassle us either. The town surrounds a Holy Lake, so there are lots of Hindu Pilgrims who come to bathe in the sacred water (the Ganges once flowed into the lake) the town is also overrun by the Isrealis who come to bathe in the sacred Bhang Lassi! Tonight we went to watch the sunset on the lake which was cool, there was a bongo guy playing, lots of people watching & Pilgrims bathing under the fading sunlight. Nice vibe. Tomorrow we're off to Bundi which is supposed to be beautiful...
