Good Morning All! It is before 9AM here in Hungary and I have been awake for over an hour. As I told you, my life here is slow at times although it is interesting. Last night I sat in the park by myself and listened to music and watched everyone interact. Most of the people in the park were teenagers, under the age of 17 undoubtedly because they all sneakily drank soproni's (the cheapest kind of beer they have here) and ran around hitting each other like they were playing tag. Apparently it isn't hard to drink under-age here either, but being out in public doesn't draw attention. I saw the Hungarian police force at work. They pay more attention to people parking in no-parking zones than crime. It seems to me that the consensus is that they are not well-liked. It was interesting to watch though. It took 3 cops to write one traffic citation!
This morning I got up early and headed to the bakery down the street before catching my bus to the university. I wish you could all experience the fresh baked breads and croissants and pastries and everything amazing here. Its 10000 times better than any fresh baked anything at home. Panera what??? Anyway, oour final deliverables are just being wrapped up so we have a helluva lot to do. Hopefully we can finish up today and meet with our client Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday is our last night here and then we will head to Budapest.
As I said Vienna was a challenge. So, for the weekend we will spend one evening in a small village where Kitti lives and then Saturday iand Sunday in Budapest. It's cheaper too which is better. We plan on going to the Hungaran Opera House which is supposed to be beautiful and the Hungarian House of Wine which is basically the most famous wine cellar in Hungary. We also talked about renting bicycles to ride around town so we could see all the bridges, hills, castles, parliament etc. It should be a nice weekend. The weather is cool here for the first time since we got here, so hhopefully it hholds over for the weekend.
That's all I have for now. All My Love.
