Well we made it down to the South coast of Cambodia, we started off in a little town called Sihanoukville, we stayed here for the Cambodia's national holiday week of the water festival so this meant it was really busy with locals but we had fun. We did a tour to Ream national marine park which involved a boat ride through the estuary past the fishing villages out to the mouth. We stopped off at a secluded beach, much quiter than the towns beach for a swim and then trekked a bit through the jungle to another beach where we had lunch, dolphins have been sighted here but unfortunately none were seen by us. It was a fun day out and later enjoyed a seafood meal at a restaurant which became our favourite by the end of our stay, we feasted on shriimp, calamari, barracuda & tuna for the week it was divine. We also did another tour to the nearby islands and did some snorkelling which was lovely not as clear as Thailand water but really nice all the same. We also had lunch on the island and swam most of the time at a quiet beach with not too many people. We than moved on to a town called Kampot which is famous for it's pepper, we visited a pepper plantation and a nearby cave which is called elephant cave as there are a few "elephants" shapes in the rocks as well as a temple built before Angkor wat built in the 7th century, really amazing. I went through the cave to come out the other side to a view of rice fields really beautiful. The amazing thing about little towns like these is you get to meet the children, they are more than happy to show you around their little wonders of their home, we were guided around by about 8 kids who took a great liking to Josh and enjoyed talking with us and learning a bit about us and us learning about them. We also did a day trip to Kep which took about an hour from Kampot a seaside town known famously for it's crab, so we had crab bought from a local selling it by the kilo in a bag, we feasted on crab on the sea wall enjoying a lazy cool afternoon. Looks like this sums up cambodia for us, we will be making our way to Vietnam tomorrow via boat through the Mekong delta so will have news soon from Vietnam, cheers, love to everyone. Thanks for the messages we love reading them, keep them coming.
