Well guys since our last post a couple of days ago we've had some major bad luck. I'll start with telling you about the tour of the phi phi islands first thou. It was amazing!! Beautiful scenery, deep blue crystal waters and pure white sand. The stopped off 8 times in differnt locations. We went to the "beach" beach was a bit of a disappointment loads of tourists and was a bit small. Did go snorkelling 4 times thou which was really good. We saw some brilliant fish and our guide tried to show us a sea horse but none of us could see it. We popped in2 the town after our tour and had some tea and did a bit of shopping. We just chilled out at night because we were leaving at 8am to go to penang, this is where we are now.
Well I stayed up reading my book as per usual till about half 12. Blair was already asleep snoring his head off! Whilst I was reading I felt as though I was been watched but our neighbour was out on his porch when I went in2 the hut so I just put it down to him being there. So anyway I woke up at 3 am, a bit sleepy and confused and noticed our light was on I thought I turned it off when I went to bed so thought this was a little strange and put my head back on the pillow then realised that our door was ajar! I sat straight up in bed and looked down the side and my big backpack and my small backpack were gone!!! I shouted our to Blair OMG MY BACKPACKS BEEN STOLEN!! He was still half asleep and was waiting for me to say oh it's ok it's still here but to no aveil. So he had a look in his bag and his wallet, camera, phone which was right next to his head under the mossy net and wash bag had all been taken aswell. So I went banging on our leaders door. She asked what had been taken & I told her everything off mine I literally had what I was standing in which wasn't much and some of Blairs things. We woke up the management of the huts and she phoned the police. We had a walk along the beach and found my big and small packpack strewn along the beach. Along with Blairs empty wallet and wash bag. The police had arrived by this point but didn't really do much to be honest. We picked up everything that we could see in the pitch black and made our way to the local police station. Yeah thats right guys we had a wee visit to a thai police station. We were shown around the torture chambers and dungeons, just kidding. They took our statements and gave us a copy of the report so we can hopefully claim off our insurance. By this time it was about 6.20 am so was light enough to have a proper look along the beach were we found Blairs credit cards and driving licence, which had already been cancelled by this point and my glasses. In the end once I dusted the sand off everything it turned out that they had only stolen both our cameras (so no pictures in the mean time folks!), Blairs phone, my watch which was broken anyway (sorry Teuchter) and my swiss army knife. So all in all it could have been alot worse!
We'll try and keep safe!!
Love Sarah & Blair xx
