Goodness, your time in New Zealand has fairly flown past - but you've certainly made the most of it. Enjoy the culture change as you move continents - we love keeping up with all your activities. You earned 20 brownie points from Granny for the letter, Blair! All well at this end - take care of yourselves - Lots of love, Lesley and John xx

Hi-fantastic scenery and stunning photos!Really impressed by the bungee jump and all the other activities. They would have to pay me lottery money to attempt that-must get the thrill seeking genes from your dad,Blair.Well done Sarah-I couldn't have done that.Life here is pretty humdrum compared to all your action packed days ,but enjoyable all the same.Going lots of long walks with Fergus, exploring our new surroundings in Mintlaw. The countryside is at its best just now, and our walks through the woods and along the old railway line are good exercise.Dad still suffering with his sore back,so there's a backlog of jobs needing done to the house.Looking forward to your return,Blair, as you'll be superfit and able to give dad a hand,so make the most of the next couple of months or so- after that it's hard graft!Bye for now-look after each other and we look forward to the next instalment .Love from all of us.xxxxxxxx

Hi-we arrived back home yesterday.Trip back home was more comfortable than journey out-we even managed some sleep. However the jinx continued on the luggage front.Thought we'd had our share of bad luck when it got lost for three days after our arrival in Oz, but this was surpassed when my case managed to disappear from the shuttle bus between our hotel and the international terminal,Sydney.A group of people got off at the domestic terminal and someone went off with my case as well as their own.Went back to search for them but no joy. However we're refusing to let this spoil the memory of a great holiday, especially the week we spent with you both.It was good to see you looking so well and getting the most out of the whole travelling experience. The highlights of our time with you were firstly our night at the ballet at the Opera House(Thank you,Sarah!) and secondly our dinner on the last night at the Sydney Tower revolving restaurant -magical!----On the subject of food-I had forgotten just how much of it Blair can get through in a short time!Looking forward to your first blog from New Zealand.Lots of love from all of us here in sunny Mintlaw.xxx
Mum
Hi just to say that Dad and I are so looking forward to seeing you both in Sydney.Thinking positively re possible delays at Heathrow and hope the long journey will not be too uncomfortable for us 'oldies' with our assorted aches and pains. Now Blair........about this speeding ticket..........Take care and watch that right foot!Much love.See you on the 28th.xxxxxxx
Lesley
Hiya, great to get the update and see all your photos. The street theatre in Freo in particular brought me right back to a warm, lazy Sunday afternoon 9 years ago - brilliant atmosphere and it doesn't look as if it has changed at all. Carry on enjoying yourselves. Look after the 'oldies' when you meet up - they truly deserve a holiday. I'll look forward to your Sydney photos. All the very best, Lesley and John x

Fit like?
I am really enjoying receiving your blogs. The stories are brill and the pics are really something else. I am really rather envious! Takes me back to my meandering days although mine were sporadic as opposed to your lengthy adventure. Relieved you decided to ditch the van! Must have been great to see 'yer ma' Sarah. I know she has been missing you terribly. It's great that you have met some fab folk on the way. I am still in touch with people I met nearly 20 years ago, so keep in touch with them because you'll rarely be short of a holiday destination!
Looking forward to your next post. Lots of love,
D x
