We arrived in Sofia and we greeted by Angela, our American coworker. Once we came through customs there was giant mass of people greeting traveler's which made things quite hectic. Luckily Angela got there early enough to get in the front and flag us down. The Airport was very nice and so were the buildings surrounding the airport, but as we go closer to the city there was a stretch of old housing buildings from the communist days. The middle of the city combines old and new as the city is under constant updating. We checked in at our hostel and dropped our stuff off. After we that we went out for lunch. Most of the restaurants have English menus, at least the fancier ones, and a lot of people speak English. After a giant pizza dinner we tried to call the British Airways customer service to find our bags, which turned out to be of no use because they did not answer the phone. Because of the night before we were quite tired and decided to hit the sack at 5:30 Sofia time and we decided to leave the exploring till tomorrow.
