Hellooooo!
We are now in Krabi after a 12 hour coach ride from Bankok and are here for another 3 days before we go to Phi Phi island which is where the film 'The Beach" was filmed. As soon as we arrived I went to the toilet and lifted the seat up and guess what was there? Yeah the toilet hole was there but aswell as that there was a MASSIVE spider on the seat! I reckon I could have pushed Linford Christie the distance the way I sprinted out of the place. It was the size of a hand and it ran underneath the toilet, never to be seen again until one morning when I wake up and it'll probably be on my face! lol not bothered about much now though, just had a bat in our room, a few lizards and seen a few snakes around our bungalow but you get used to it. The thai people are really nice and helpful and just sit chilling whilst picking up snakes and swinging them around.
We went kayaking two days ago in the clear blue waters of Krabi. At the end the tour guy said "we go see monkey" and with that we thought we would just see some from a distance but as we got closer they started jumping out of the trees above us and onto our boats stealing our pineapple and melon. I couldn't stop laughing as one of them picked up my water, pulled the lid back and started drinking. Got some pictures but miller has more because my battery died after 3 shots of the moneys, gutted!
Been going to the local irish bar everynight for a few games of pool and to watch the blades get pasted by liverpool (Gerrard the cheat). They show every premiership game out here and the Thai people know more about English football than me. Found a quality nightclub called the Luna bar/club which closes at 5 in the morning so we tend to sleep most of the day (and sleep of the bad hangovers) which is why we still look pale. We tend to go moonbathing rather than sunbathing! Met three lads in our resort who went to Sheffield university for the last four years which was wierd as we talked about where we go when back home and yeah matt they agree that Bar Max is the best place to go, 2 for 4 quid, can't go wrong! lol Definately don't miss that place.
We are going to the Tiger Temple tommorow where the tigers are supposed to be so tame that you can stroke them but I don't fancy losing an arm so think i'll give that bit a miss. Should be good though, if I get out in one piece i'll let ya know how it went.
Will update again in a few days time
Koh Kun Kra
P.S just as I write this the skies have opened and the rain is pouring it down which will probably make a few of you smile. First rain since we've been here but it's about a months worth. Will still be 35 plus degrees tommorow day so that should wipe that smile back off again lol
