Hello again from Australia zooooooooooooooooo! As you already know, the highlight of the zoo is the croc show that they put on twice a day but we also got to feed the elephants, stroke a koala, HOLD A SNAKE and sit chilling out with the kangaroos in the park. Holding the snake was horrible, it was like holding a chunk of moving leather! I made sure i was well away from the head and tail though and sat safely in the middle. The koalas were cool and so were the otters that were in a tank jumping around. The kangaroos were quality, they were just sat in the park sunbathing while we were laying around them taking pics. It was good feeding the elephants, although I nearly sucked my hand off along with the half apple that I was feeding it. The crocodile show was good but I think they're a bit lazy now after doing the same thing day after day as the croc wouldn't do what the guy wanted him to do most of the time, well done croc! Overall it was a good day as you can see in the pictures. After leaving the zoo, we drove upto Noosa which is a beach resort. As it happened, it was the easter holidays, and all the aussies were spending their time at holiday resorts which left us with a small problem - Nowhere to sleep! We drove from hostel to hostel trying to find somewhere to go and the thought of sleeping in the car with five guys was a scary one, especially with the smells that come out of these animals but we finally found a motel with one room left which we took. It only had three beds so two people had to sleep on the floor but we weren't bothered about that, just glad we got out of the car. The next five days were spent chilling out on the beach saving our energy for Fraser. We went out to a backpackers bar a couple of times but it wasn't the best so didn't stay long either time. The highlight from Noosa was probably the tv line - up that we had one night. The simpsons followed by neighbours (sad I know but these boys don't miss an episode so I have to watch it too now), followed by the biggest loser (Fat people in a competition to see who can lose the most weight. Funny as) followed by Rove which is a chat show (Like Jonathan Ross but not as funny) and he was interviewing Beyonce, followed finally by the search for the next pussycat doll which was the best of the lot, obviously for the singing not for the skimpy clothes that they had on. ;-)
After leaving the room in pretty good condition for a change, we headed off in the banger, up the coast to Hervey Bay which is the port you leave from to get to Fraser Island and there is where the fun began.....
