Hey everyone......

We've arrived at surfer's paradise now and have met up with the boys, James, Dave and the Dutch guy Jake. The beds in the hostel are the best we've been in so far but we get woken up every morning at 10 when about four cleaners come into the room and talk and bang things about. Bloody cleaners! There's two bunk beds in a bedroom and another two in the living area where me and miller are which is a bit annoying as you get people like Jake doing a fry up at 5 in the morning when your trying to get to sleep. He's a funny guy though. Four english, three dutch and a canadian in the room and everyone is a good laugh and its funny watching them all trying to drink the 4 litres of horrible, cheap wine called 'Goon' that we drink before we go out because it tastes like cat pee but it does the job! (Not that I know what cat pee tastes like). Been on two nights out already which have been quality, a pub crawl the other night with about 100 people from every country around the world where we met some Danish girls who took us down to beach after the club closed at 5 to watch the sunrise. Oh it brought a tear to my eye, it was so beautiful! lol Nah its the last thing you want to see when your shattered and just want to get to bed but it was alright. The highlight upto now was the 'all you could eat' dominos pizza night at our hostel on the first night we arrived and it only cost us 5 dollars which is 2 pounds in English money. Not bad eh. Tonight is the 'all you can eat' BBQ night for 5 dollars which should be good but we'll all be 20+ stone each by the time we leave this place in a weeks time! lol Burn it all off in the 35+ degree heat whilst having international footy matches. England vs Holland/Italy the other day and me and the boys did our country proud, playing the long - ball game and coming out the victors in the end.

Theres so much to do at this place that you can never get bored. The hostel has it's own swimming pool and hot - tub with a massive tv infront of it so you can just chill out and watch some dvds if you can't be bothered to walk the 5 mins to the beach. We stayed in last night to give our livers a night off and just sat in the cinema bus which is an old camper van that has been converted into a cinema. We watched that pathetic film called music and lyrics with the equally pathetic Hugh Grant in. Wasn't long before I was asleep while the useless Hugh was doing his best to be funny!

Today I have done nothing but sleep while miller and jake went to wash their dirty knickers and James and Dave went for a walk into town. Its hard work you know laying in that sun for hours on end, playing footy on the beach then going out getting blindo! As they say, its a hard job but someones gotta do it! lol Glad to be here than in Darwin though. The people (Aussies) are more friendly and are less patronising and obnoxious than those up their own arse darwin folk. Next stop is Brisbane on tuesday which is a big city but not far from the coast which is the way I like it. Not seen any sharks or jellyfish in the sea yet which is good. Oh yeah James picked us up at the airport. We told him we arrived at 6 - 6:30 so he strolls up at 7:45 in the batmobile. Its a right old banger but its pretty fast which is good and it got us there in one piece.
