We are rocking and rolling our way to Majorca now. I hope this doesn't go on for 10 hours! Well it didn't continue the whole time but most of it. It even affected me and usually seas are not bothersome. Everything that wasn't tucked away behind latched doors was slamming around and very noisy!
The Majorcan Coast is beautiful, dotted with white-washed terra cotta roofs for the most. Its cliffs are rocky with cool little harbors and bays tucked along rhe way. If I had been more ambitious, I'd have gone below to get my camera. However, the slug factor took over so no pics until we finally arrived at the part of the coast where our anchorage is.
Here we are anchored in a lovely bay called Playa de Es Carbo that even has a wifi connection. ( Well, we lost it!) The weather is cooler thank heavens and we have a nice breeze. The gentle roll and breeze should make for nice sleeping.
Tomorrow is our last and shortest sail. Palma de Majorca is less than 40 miles from here. I look forward to our three days and nights there. For me it's been since 1992 when I was there last. For Ginny and Ray, Carol, and Dave its a first time. (I just told Dave about Majoran pearls. Unfortunately he may made all his purchases. We'll see.)
It's cocktail hour now...
