Hello! Today was another busy day out and about. First, a tour of Buckingham Palace. Unlike anything we've ever seen. Every room just oozed wealth and "royalty". From the woven carpets and marble floors up to the crystal chandeliers and the gold ceilings. Definitely the highlight of the trip so far. After spending most of yesterday walking the city, we made our first venture on the Tube today. We found it really easy to use and it seems to be convenient to EVERYTHING. Started the day at Olympic Park. Access to the venues was a little restricted (they're setting up for the Paralympics) but it was still fun to see what we could of all the different venues. Headed straight to Buckingham Palace this morning to watch the Changing of the Guard.... Very crowded but definitely worth seeing. Started to rain around noon so we headed to Trafalgar Square to explore some of the museums. After lunch, the sun came back so we walked down to see Big Ben/Parliament and the Thames. Saw a lot today and got a brief taste of how crazy the London weather can be. Good and tired but already having a great time! XOXO

Greetings from Across the Pond!! Safely arrived here in London. All in all travel went smoothly (although looking the right way before crossing the street is an adjustment). Got to our hotel mid-afternoon, room has great views of Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and The London Eye. After a much needed nap and some dinner, spent the evening exploring our neighborhood.
