/11/07 - Neither Jonny or me had a very good nights sleep, it was soo hot but also so nice to be in my own bed and not have to listen to Jonny's snnoring or random banging on the side of the van. (One of the nights in the van Jonny kicked the side of the van in his sleep and scared the life out of me and him ha ha. We set off to find the commonwealth games village today with the intention of saying hi to the new inhabitants. We found Parkville and our house and knocked on the door to be greeted by a Jap guy who didn't really speak much english. Gutted!! Still pretty cool to see the place again. Went up the observation deck in the afternoon.
/11/07 - Spent a lot of cash today and booked a tour to the Red Centre. Foolishly we have a 10 hour bus journey the morning after the neighbours night, oh dear!! As it was raining we decided to take the van back a day early. We had a chip in the windscreen which you couldn't see in the rain and we didn't want to loose the 500 dollar bond. The guy gave us the all clear and we left very happy, good work fellas!! It was sad to leave the old van who had taken us the whole way accross Australia and back to Melbourne a total of 6894kms. My carbon foot print is pretty big right now!! Tried staying up late to night to watch the England match but couldn't hack it and went to bed at 2am.
/11/07 - Good job we didn't stay up and watch the game as England lost and were now not in the Euro's GUTTED!! Went to the Aquarium today and that was about it.
/11/07 - A full day tour today and a good day out. Pick up 7.20am oooo. First stop was morning tea and cake (lemingtons) were we fed some birds. My arms got ripped to shreds by thier claws and Jonny thought it was funny to put bird seed in my hair so I had birds on my head as well!! Thanks for that!! Then it was a half hour trip in Puffing Billy (an old steam train) round the Dandenong ranges. After that we went to the Warnook farm. A tour of the homestead before we had lunch a lovely roast and free bottle of wine. Then the highlight of the day. We got a hay ride to the cattle shed were we fed some calves and bullied some lambs and miled a cow. Nothing quite like drinking milk straight from the cow!! Then we watched some sheep dogs do thier thing and learnt how to crack a whip. My god it hurt when I got it wrong, and then we watched some guy wresttle a sheep and sheer it. Final stop on the tour was Phillip Island were we saw the worlds smallest Penguins come out the sea and head to their burrows. A cool day.
/11/07 - Didn't really have much planned today so went to Fed Square to take some photos before having some beers on our roof toop bbq area and popped into town for a few cheekies. Got back home at 4.30 am.
/11/07 - Slept til 4.30 in the afternoon and spent the day updating this blog. Finally up date. Woo hoo.
/11/07 - Went on the Neighbours tour in the afternoon and saw Rachel and Bridget doing some filming in Ramsay Street. Saw Greasey Monkey's, the Carpenters garage and Erinsburgh High Shool which didn't really look like it does in the series. Oh and I almost forgot we met Janelle as well. Then it was home for a quick beer and on to the Neighbours Trivia night which was such a good laugh. Met Darcy, Dillan, some young fella can't remember his name and the gorgeous Libby!! Oh and our team won the quiz and got 500 dollars between eight of us. Get In!! Good work team "Hell Yeah"!!! An awesome night.
/11/07 - Got up after 2 hours sleep not feeling too clever and sat on a bus all day (10 hours) and now in Adelaide. Off to the Red Centre tomorrow, how exciting!!
