Began the day on Austin with a swamp tour with Cajun jack. He was funny. Very touchy feely but nice enough. Learnt a lot about the swamps and the people who live along them. New Orleans is mental!! Went stayed at the best western which was a really nice hotel. Went out on bourbon street in the evening. There were mime artists, street bands, street dancers and what's great is you don't have to limit yourself to one place, u could buy a cocktail in one bar then take it into another, or simply buy one to go. Nashville is probably one of the most liveliest place I have ever been to! It has the atmosphere of a festival all day long. Music everywhere, cheap booze, and double shots. It's a shame we were only there for one night. Started drinking at 4pm and ended up wasted and in bk at the hostel by 1030. Went to Washington, D.C. We stopped off at Philadelphia on the way, which I might add was better than Washington. I love New York! Coming from London I thought it would be just as over crowded and dirty. But it's so much better. The only really busy parts I've been to are Times Square and Chinatown.
